When making payments into this account please make sure that account sort code, account number and  reference as above are quoted. ​Leisure membership level does limit the speed of student progress, due to time/hour requirements for each grade.

​BAA Kyu Grading are free for Essex Aikido Dojo (Shoshinkan) members. Unemployed and those in full time education are charged the junior fees.

Application for concessionary rates (e.g. students, retired, unwaged, etc) must include copies of the appropriate documentation confirming status.

Monthly payments are paid the nearest session to the 1st day of the month. Payments can be made by standing order.

Cancellation of standing orders payment is the responsibility of the payee.

British Aikido Association


Shoshinkan Dojo is a member of the British Aikido Association. Grades issued are recognised by the Worldwide Sports Aikido Federation. As a Japan Aikido Association ITAF affiliated club, Dan grades can be registered with the JAA with Menjo (Certificate) issued.

  • The British Aikido Association is a membership funded not for profit organisation. We are here to support our member clubs and our members alike. All our officers are volunteers and give their time for no remuneration.

As BAA affiliated club all Essex Aikido Dojo Shoshinkan members are required to hold a BAA licence this includes insurance.

BAA membership fee:
